Before you book
Clear answers to the questions students usually ask before training.
We start with the boat, safety routines and clear crew communication, then move quickly into practical sailing. You will practise leaving and returning to a berth, points of sail, tacking, gybing, reefing and the man-overboard manoeuvre.
The aim is not simply to pass an examination. You should understand what the yacht is doing and know how to react when conditions change.
The Żeglarz Jachtowy licence covers sailing yachts on inland waters and sailing yachts up to 12 metres in length on specified coastal waters, during daylight and within the limits set by Polish regulations.
If you intend to charter abroad, check the charter company’s requirements as well as the rules of the country in which you will sail.
The examination includes theory and practical boat handling. We explain the required manoeuvres, practise them repeatedly and show you how to organise the crew without rushing.
